Ms. Raegan

(Accepting New Students)

Raegan is an extremely passionate percussionist who hails from south Georgia (then Florida!), then back to Athens! Her love of music was fueled by her father, who plays and repairs guitars. She is pursuing her music education degree to follow her dream of becoming a band director. Raegan plays pretty much every percussion instrument, from the marimba to the timpani, and loves every genre of music (as long as there is a percussion part), but her favorites are rock and metal. She teaches marching drumline and front ensemble around Athens, and at Merit Music Academy she teaches drumset, percussion, and piano. Raegan brings her enthusiasm to every corner of her life, no matter what she is doing. In lessons, she keeps students engaged and excited. She loves to share how amazing and impactful music can be.

Teacher Halli

Halli is a graduate of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Although their degree is in theatre, Halli holds a very special place in their heart for music! Whether it be playing at a piano, singing in the car, or performing on a stage. Halli is a firm believer that music makes the world go round! Halli grew up surrounded by music, and having a mother that teaches piano only helped to foster and grow that love for music further. Halli couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Merit Music Academy team, and they hope to see you in a lesson soon!

Halli offers voice and piano lessons to all ages and skill levels.

Ms. Charlie

(Accepting New Students)

Charlie is a third year elementary education student at the University of Georgia. She has always been surrounded by music, and she grew up listening to her mother teach vocal lessons and lead a local choir. Charlie started learning the piano when she was seven years old, and began music theory courses in third grade. She is working on learning both the guitar and banjo, so that she can play her favorite songs. In her free time (what little there is), Charlie loves doing theater and dance, as well as teaching wherever and whatever she can!
